CEIH Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace
This is a 1 day health and Safety course designed to ensure that all employees are aware of their own health & safety and the health & safety of customers, contractors and the public. This qualification can be tailored to business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose.
Who needs this qualification?
Everyone in the work environment should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ – and this course offers exactly that. Working safely is not intended to create health & safety experts. It focuses on why health and safety is important, and how individuals can make a real difference to the wellbeing of themselves and others through changing their behaviour.
Why is this training important?
Employers are responsible for providing safe and healthy workplace conditions as well as the right systems and methods for safe activities. Nevertheless employees also have a vital part to play in the equation. They need the right knowledge and the right attitude which demands proper training in the basics of health and safety, as well as specific training for individual tasks.

- Understanding the principles of health and safety and accident prevention
- Ability to contribute to any health and safety management system
- Understand the importance of risk assessment as a technique for accident and ill health prevention
- Understand the responsibilities placed on employers and employees
- Understand the hazard, risk and main causes of harm to workers (manual handling, hazardous substances, exposure to noise and vibration)
- Understand the importance of following systems, procedures and rules
- Understand how individual action can reduce risks to health and safety
- Appreciate how workplace equipment and task design affect health and safety
Duration: One-day programme
Certification: For delegates who attend the course and successfully complete the multi-choice assessment they will receive an HSE accredited CIEH level 2 award in Health and Safety in the Workplace.
Location: This course is delivered specifically for your employees. It can be delivered at our training venue in Huddersfield West Yorkshire, or on your premises in the UK.

- This Health and Safety at Work course costs £570.00 (plus trainer expences) at your venue in the UK for up to 16 candidates.There is then an extra charge of £15 per person to cover the Health and safety in the workplace certificate and workbook giving CEIH accreditation.
- This Health and Safety at Work course costs £690.00 at our Huddersfield Training Centre in West Yorkshire for up to 16 candidates.There is then an extra charge of £15 per person to cover the Health and safety in the workplace certificate and workbook giving CEIH accreditation .
